  • Following treatment, avoid the use of hot water and discontinue the use of abrasive or harsh products for two days.

  • In cases where superficial crusting or scabbing occurs, do NOT rub, scrape, or remove the scabs. Cleanse the area gently and pat dry.

  • Apply a high factor sunscreen (at least SPF 30) and protect the treated area from sunlight for 2 weeks.

  • Makeup may be applied immediately post-treatment.

  • Drink at least 1 liter of water daily during the course of treatment.

  • Dramatic weight loss may have a negative impact on the results.

V-IPL

  • Transient erythema/edema may appear immediately post-treatment, and typically resolves within 24-48 hours.

  • There is a small risk of changes in the texture and pigmentation of the skin, which are also usually transient. In a case of a more serious adverse response such as blistering, swelling, scarring, or long-lasting changes in pigmentation, be sure to contact the esthetician immediately.

  • Do NOT partake in hot baths, aerobic exercise, rough sports, massage, etc. during the next 5 days.

  • Maintain high hygienic measures of the treated area.

  • Do NOT tan during the next 14 days (including creams). Use high factor SPF (30+) for at least one month.

  • Makeup can be applied immediately post-treatment. In the case that the treatment site scales or cakes, stop wearing makeup.

  • Note that hormonal changes in the body, exposure to sunlight, genetics, and other external and internal factors may induce the reappearance of symptoms treated.

  • It is highly recommended to moisten the skin post phototherapy treatments.

  • In hair removal treatments, 2-3 weeks post-treatment hair growth should be reduced and you should be able to pull the hair out more easily.

  • In pigmentation and skin rejuvenation treatments, gradual clearing of the lesions may take a few months. The lesion will gradually darken for up to 14 days and eventually exfoliate after the treatment. This is a desirable outcome, and skin should NOT be pulled but allowed to shed naturally.

  • In vascular treatments, the capillaries may change to a grayish color. One of the indications of an effective treatment is the darkening of the capillaries post 24 hours.

 V-FR

  • An immediate post-treatment burning sensation of the area is expected, as well as indications of erythema/edema. The burning sensation, erythema and/or edema may last up to several hours post-treatment, and ice packs or cold compresses may be applied for comfort. If edema lasts more than 36 hours or gets worse, contact the esthetician immediately.

  • Immediately after, and for 24 hours following, a topical emollient should be applied.

  • Makeup may be applied 24 hours post-treatment.

  • During the next 5 days, or while the matrix marks are still present:

  • Avoid the use of hot water and swimming pools.

  • Avoid using harsh or abrasive products (e.g. retinols, scrubs, acids).

  • Avoid any mechanical or thermal damage to the area (saunas, steam rooms, etc.).

  • Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating.

  • Keep the skin clean with a gentle cleanser in order to avoid infection.

  • 1-3 days post-treatment, small scabs may appear and will possible remain for 1-3 weeks depending on the area. Allow them to shed naturally.

  • Avoid any form of skin tanning during the entire course of treatment.

  • If blistering or ulcerated skin occurs, contact the esthetician immediately, as this is a rare reaction.
