Pre Care

If you have a special event or vacation coming up, please be sure to book your treatment at least 2 weeks in advance.
If you develop a cold or the flu, cold sore, or skin condition in the area to be treated, reschedule for a least two weeks later to allow it to clear up.
Sculptra is not suited for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have had facial implants or lifts.
It is recommended to discontinue use of blood thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, platelet inhibitors, anticoagulants, fish oil, vitamin A and E, ginko, ginseng, garlic, kava kava, celery root, etc. at least one week before your treatment.
Avoid alcohol, niacin, and cigarettes for 24-48 hours prior to treatment to reduce the change of bruising and swelling
Please discontinue use of retinols 3 days in advance to prevent irritation.
Limit caffeine intake.

Apply a cool compress to the injection site(s) for up to 48 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
Avoid excessive sun or heat exposure for 24 hours post-treatment Massage treated area gently 2 times per day for 5 minutes for 4 weeks after the injection.
Avoid applying makeup to the area for 24 hours.
Avoid dental work, vaccines, surgeries, tattoos or permanent makeup for 4 weeks.
Avoid dermal filler for 3 months.
Please wait at least 2 weeks before receiving any other aesthetic treatments.
