Pre & Post Care Instructions for Vampire Facial
Pre Care

If you have an active cold sore/fever blister, treatment will need to be delayed. Contact our office if you have any questions.

Avoid touching, pressing, rubbing, or manipulating the treated area(s) for 24 hours prior to your treatment.

Avoid aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Gingko Biloba, garlic, flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids for 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after your treatment.

If you experience discomfort or pain, you may take Tylenol or other acetaminophen products.

Do not wash treated area or take a shower for 12 hours before your treatment.

Use cold packs for 20 minutes every 2 hours on the day of treatment, then every 3-4 hours the day after treatment.

Do not use any lotions, creams, or makeup for at least 24 hours before your treatment.

Minimize alcohol, caffeine, and cigarettes for 2 days before and after treatment.

Maintain a healthy diet and drink 4-6 large glasses of water on the day of treatment and the first week after.
Post Care

Do not wash treated area or take a shower for 12 hours after your treatment.

Avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 5 days after treatment.

Bruising, redness, itching, soreness, and swelling may occur for 3-10 days after your procedure.

End results depend on various factors, including treatment aggressiveness, post-treatment care, nutrition, and general health.

Treatments are cumulative and intervals between sessions are necessary for healing.

Good general health promotes excellent and predictable outcomes.
